TowersWatson will be presenting "Looking Toward Recovery: Realigning Rewards and Re-engaging Employees" Marie S. Holmstrom, Ph.D. | Senior Consultant

GENERAL MEETING FEES: $20 Member / $30 Non-Member / $40 Late Registrant

The recent economic crisis has accelerated fundamental changes in the employer-employee relationship. From leadership to careers to rewards, organizations are preparing for "new normal" while they focus on recovery and position for growth. But what does the "new normal" look like...how is the fundamental employment deal changing? How will you enhance workforce engagement and translate that engagement into better performance? What are the implications for talent and reward strategies, and how can you be prepared?

This session will share findings from Towers Watson's 2010 Global Workforce Study, which provides new insights into the mindset of the workforce around the world. The study covers 20,000 employees across multiple industries and diverse workforce segments, and reveals what workers will value most from their employer in the future. In other words, it defines the "new deal" and provides a roadmap for employers looking to reshape talent and reward practices to become a magnet for great talent - and deliver better business performance. Attendees will learn: To what extent employees should and will be "on their own" in managing their health, wealth and careers, and what that means for employers. What it will take to keep individuals and teams engaged and performing at their peak in an increasingly virtual environment.  How the roles of leaders and managers are changing - demanding a balance between operational/technical skills and relationship skills.
